Service Robots in Senior Living Homes
Challenges and Objectives
The aging population's expansion has led to a rapid rise in the demand for senior living homes and services. Recruiting and retaining qualified personnel, including healthcare professionals, caregivers, and support staff, remains a persistent struggle for the sector. Additionally, staff burnout is a concerning issue, stemming from factors such as heavy workloads, long hours, emotional demands, and limited resources. The collective impact of these challenges may lead to a risk to the quality of resident care in senior living homes.
The deployment of two Keenon Dinerbots at this retirement home was driven by specific objectives to address the challenges faced by the retirement home and its residents. The primary goals of introducing Keenon service robots were:
Enhancing Resident Care: Allowing staff members to focus on more personalized and specialized care for the residents.
Improving Staff Efficiency: Optimizing staff workflow and time management by offloading routine tasks to the Dinerbots. Reducing the burden of manual food and drink delivery, enabling staff to engage in meaningful interactions with residents.
Elevating Dining Experience: Streamlining the dining process to ensure prompt and efficient food and drink service for the residents.
Providing a personalized and interactive dining experience that caters to individual preferences and dietary requirements
